According to the Health Commission of Zhejiang Province, the first batch of emergent investigations on COVID-19 situation in Zhejiang has been successfully completed. A total of 5,159 samples were tested and the results were negative.

From June 13 onwards, a batch of samples has been randomly selected from large aquatic products, wholesale markets for agricultural products, retail farmers markets, supermarkets, and other key places for checking against the COVID-19 crisis. 

 

For the sake of people's safety and wellbeings, we hereby suggest some useful tips in order to protect yourselves from being infected with the COVID-19. 

 

1. Pay attention to personal protection. Pay attention to personal hygiene. Cover your nose and mouth with a paper towel or elbow flexion when coughing or sneezing. Wash hands frequently, and wash hands with soap and water or hand sanitizer containing alcohol after going out, before meals, after defecation, after coughing and sneezing; wear masks properly, and avoid touching eyes, mouth, and nose in public places.

 

2. Pay attention to food safety. Cutting boards and knives for raw and cooked food should be separated, and meat, eggs, seafood and other foods should be thoroughly cooked. Use serving chopsticks and spoons.

 

3. Wear masks when going to farmers' markets, wholesale markets, supermarkets, and other places. Try to avoid the peak flow of people, shorten the stay time, reduce contact with raw fish, raw meat, and other raw food, and wash your hands when you get home.

 

4. Reasonably arrange for travel, reduce unnecessary party activities. If not necessary, try not to go to high-risk areas during the epidemic.

 

5. Avoid close contact with people with cold or flu-like symptoms. When abnormal symptoms such as fever, dry cough, and fatigue appear, go to the nearest fever clinic in time, wear masks throughout the journey, and avoid taking public transport as much as possible.

 

6. People from high-risk areas coming to Zhejiang should take the initiative to report to his or her local community, company, or hotel within 12 hours after arriving in Zhejiang, and earnestly implement various health management measures.
