Technical support of the national electronic certificate service platform is provided by the Blood Center of Zhejiang Province. With the interconnection of 452 blood stations nationwide,  volunteer blood donors from all over the country are able to check online their electronic certificate and blood donation volume.

Over the years, Zhejiang Province has successively been awarded the honor of "national advanced province of volunteer blood donation" for four times. During the outbreak of the COVID-19, 132 people who were recovering from the epidemic donated their plasma, making an important contribution to the success of medical treatment.

In 2014, Zhejiang introduced the "three exemptions" for volunteer blood donors, providing services such as "free public transportation, free travel, and free outpatient consultation".

In 2017, Zhejiang also built a blood cloud platform, taking the lead in launching the electronic certificate for volunteer blood donation nationwide.

At the event site, 6 cities (Hangzhou, Ningbo, Huzhou, Jiaxing, Jinhua, and Lishui) were awarded the honor of "advanced city of volunteer blood donation in Zhejiang", and 10 representatives of "special award of volunteer blood donation in Zhejiang" were awarded as well; Wuhan Blood Center and the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine respectively shared their unforgettable experiences in blood defense during the COVID-19 outbreak.
