Sent by the Chinese Government and established by Zhejiang Province, the anti-epidemic expert team aiding Italy has been in Italy for nearly two weeks.

During the point-to-point exchange between the expert group and Italian authorities, the expert group unreservedly informed Italy of the experience and lessons learned concerning prevention and control of the epidemic and the treatment of patients.

Do these exchanges work? What is the change in the current anti-epidemic measures in Italy?

The expert group is pleased to find that the Government of Italy is constantly adjusting and reinforce its prevention and control policies and strengthening its capacity to treat patients.

The medical resources of Bergamo, the "hardest-hit area" of the Lombardy Region, are running at full capacity and field hospitals are being built to increase the number of beds for patients; there is still room for beds in other regions, but with the increasing number of patients, local governments are already increasing their capacity to treat patients through the establishment of designated hospitals, the expansion of wards and the establishment of new hospitals.

Families and hospitals are the two most vulnerable places for aggregation infections. Stricter and stricter prevention and control measures have been introduced in the Lombardy Region. Emphasis was placed on the protection of the population over 70 years old in the Region and force them to stay home through education and publicity of media and family doctor.

The Government strongly advises people to go out less. Presently Italy's mask production capacity has increased significantly, and next it will further call the public for wearing face masks when going out.

The expert group is most heartened by the situation that local "God of Fire" hospital in Milan is about to become operational.

Lombardy District Government has reconstructed the Milan exhibition hall which has been suspended into a hospital so as mainly to treat severe COVID-19 patients, which is equivalent to the Italian " God of Fire" hospital.

After the exchange with the Milan Health Service, the expert group traveled to the museum hospital, which is about to be put into operation.

This two-storied exhibition hall hospital is designed by Italy as 4 blocks including the doctor's office area, the medical examination, and test area and the patient's hospitalization area. The hospitalization area was strictly zoned and sub-channeled according to the infectious disease standard as to prevent cross-infection.

All wards are closed negative pressure wards, with reasonably-arranged fresh air system and oxygen pipeline. Each ward has 5-7 beds, each of them is equipped with a ventilator and other medical equipment. Many Italians worked all night to build an exhibition hospital as soon as possible. At present, the site has basically completed the reconstruction of one block which has a total of 54 beds planned to start to treat patients this weekend. Next, the reconstruction of the other three blocks will be completed as soon as possible, after the completion, it can receive a total of about 250 severe COVID-19 patients.

受国家派遣、由浙江省组建的中国赴意大利抗疫医疗专家组到意大利已近2周。

通过专家组和意大利方点对点的交流，专家组将疫情防控、患者救治等多方面的经验和教训毫无保留地告诉了意方。

这些交流有没有发挥作用？意大利目前的抗疫措施有什么变化？

专家组欣喜地发现，意大利政府正不断调整和加强防控政策，加强患者收治能力。

伦巴第大区疫情“重灾区”贝加莫的医疗资源已经满负荷运行，目前正在建造野战医院增加收治患者的床位；其他区域目前床位尚有空间，但随着就诊人数不断增加，各地政府已经在通过设立定点医院、扩建病房、建立新医院等方法增加患者收治能力。

家庭和医院是两个最易发生聚集性传染的场所，伦巴第大区已开始实施更严格的防控措施。重点强调对该地区70岁以上人口的保护，通过媒体及家庭医生宣教，让他们严格居家隔离。

政府宣传上强烈建议民众减少外出。目前意大利口罩生产能力大幅提升，后续将加强民众出门戴口罩的宣传。

最让专家组感到振奋的是，米兰当地的“火神山”医院即将投入使用。

伦巴第大区政府将已经停止使用的米兰展览馆火速改造成医院，以收治新冠肺炎重症患者为主，相当于意大利的“火神山”医院。

与米兰卫生局交流结束后，专家组一行前往这个即将投入使用的展览馆医院。

这家展览馆医院共有2层，意方将其设计为4个区块，包含医生办公区、医学检验和检查区和患者住院区。病区按照传染病标准进行了严格的分区和分通道设计，防止交叉感染。

所有病房均为封闭式的负压病房，新风系统和氧气管道布置合理，每个病房内有5—7张床位，每个床位均配备有呼吸机等医疗设备。为尽快建设成展览馆医院，许多意大利人通宵达旦地工作。目前这里已基本完成1个区块的改建，共有54张床位，计划本周末开始收治患者，后续还将尽快完成另外3个区块的改建，完工后共可容纳250位左右新冠肺炎重症患者入住。
