Recently, Ye Wuwei, a member of the Spanish Association for the Rejuvenation of China, and Mao Feng, director of Hand By Hand Chinese Center, conveyed to the Spanish people through Spanish cable TV station Antena3 the message that the Chinese in Spain and the local government and people would weather the storm and achieve the final victory in Spain.

During the recording, they also sent three other messages to the TV station:

  • We Chinese community urge everyone to stay at home and stick together.

  • The best we can do now is to replicate China's experience because the Chinese have survived the crisis.

  • We hope Spain can directly cooperate with China like Italy.

Earlier, shortly after the emergence of the COVID-19 (120 cases) in Spain on March 2, they had already sent a message to Spanish society through television, "don't take it lightly".

On March 15, the Czech government declared a state of national emergency and demanded that the whole country's people be isolated at home and prohibited from free movement.

In order to help the local government and overseas Chinese to cope with the epidemic, Chen Jinmei, President of the Czech Federation of overseas Chinese women, actively assisted in the establishment of the Czech anti-epidemic volunteer Union and launched the program of care and mutual assistance of overseas Chinese groups to help the local ant-epidemic efforts.

The Union actively launched an initiative to overseas Chinese, calling on those who have the ability to donate. Under the shortage of medical supplies, a total of more than 6000 masks, gloves, and other materials were raised.

These masks were donated to the districts, communities, police stations and old-aged homes, as well as the workers in high-risk industries such as supermarkets, clinics, buses, and taxi drivers.

In the past two days, the group of "Czech Anti Epidemic Volunteer Union" was divided into five teams, and the masks were given away free of charge in each district.

The locals were happy to get masks. One woman asked if it would be okay to give her more masks because none of her family had it. One old man kept saying thanks after getting the mask.

One driver followed the volunteers in his car and asked where they were from. The volunteers answered that they were Chinese. He gave a thumbs up and said thanks to Chinese, and it's impossible to buy masks in Czech, thank you and best wishes to you all.
