To offer timely help and overcome hardship together, China has been fighting against the epidemic together with the world for days. Zhejiang also acts quickly to set up a medical expert team, donate anti-epidemic materials, and share experience in fighting the epidemic, which plays a significant role in international assistance against the COVID-19 outbreak. 

On March 17, Zhejiang set up a Chinese anti-epidemic medical expert team leaving for Italy to help the country battle the epidemic. The expert team consists of 12 experts from the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine, Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Zhejiang Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention and Tongde Hospital of Zhejiang Province. The team arrived in Milan on local time on March 18.

Accompanying the Zhejiang medical expert team going to Italy is a batch of medical supplies donated by Zhejiang Province and urgently needed by Italy, including 30 sets of ICU equipment like respirators, monitors and dual-channel infusion pumps, 2 sets of portable color doppler ultrasound instruments, 60,000 pieces of laboratory testing reagents, and 9 tons of anti-epidemic materials and commonly used drugs.

On March 20 local time, the Zhejiang medical expert team to Italy went to the local hospitals, communicated with the Italian medical staff on the treatment technique and the prevention and control measures against COVID-19 and went into the wards to get hold of the up-to-date information.

On March 11, the first batch of 26.4 tons of medical supplies from Zhejiang Province to aid overseas Chinese were delivered to Italy. The supplies include disposable masks, N95 respirators, isolation clothing, protective clothing, goggles, and latex gloves, packed in a total of 4,556 boxes. On March 18, Zhejiang delivered another batch of emergency supplies, and a total of 35.4 tons of medical protective materials have been sent to Italy so far.

Zhejiang, Japan, and South Korea are close neighbors separated by a strip of water. Over the years, Zhejiang has had close exchanges and good cooperation with the two countries, especially with international friendship cities. On March 12, anti-epidemic medical supplies such as masks, protective clothing, and goggles carrying the wishes of the people of Zhejiang were “assembled” at Yiwu Airport and sent to Japan and South Korea.

On March 11, Professor Jurgen Hass heard that the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University had summarized the effective experience in the practical treatment of COVID-19, so he made a call to the experts in the First Affiliated Hospital through one of his friends to request remote consultation and professional guidance.

On March 13, a transoceanic video discussion & exchange connected the four places, Hangzhou in Zhejiang, Wuhan in Hubei, Ireland, and England, together. More than 30 foreign experts and doctors listened closely to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine’s report on Chinese approaches, Zhejiang’s innovative measures and the Hospital’s experience in relation to COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control.

As of 15:00, March 21, the Handbook of COVID-19 Prevention and Treatment- Clinical Experience of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine released worldwide has been spread to 219 countries and regions and clicked by 1.478 million visitors. The handbook has also made the front page of NATURE, a world's top academic journal, sharing the "China experience" from the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine, Hangzhou, Zhejiang to the academic world.

守望相助，风雨同舟。连日来，中国携手世界抗击疫情的步履不停。浙江也迅速行动，组建医疗专家组、捐赠防疫物资、共享抗疫经验，在国际援助中以“浙江力量”彰显“中国担当”。

3月17日，浙江组建中国抗疫医疗专家组，赴意大利协助应对疫情。专家组共12人，由浙大一院、省中医院、省疾控中心、省立同德医院的专家组成，并于当地时间18日飞抵米兰。赴意大利的浙江医疗专家组，随行携带一批由浙江省捐赠、当地急需的医疗救治物品，包括呼吸机、监护仪、双通道输液泵等ICU装备各30套，便携式彩超2套，实验室检测试剂6万人份，还有一批防护物资、常用药品共计9吨。当地时间3月20日，赴意大利的浙江医疗专家组奔赴医院一线，与意大利医护人员就新冠肺炎诊疗技术和防控手段进行全面沟通，并进入病房了解一线最新情况。3月11日，浙江省第一批驰援海外侨胞的26.4吨医疗物资发往意大利，包括一次性口罩、N95医用口罩、隔离衣、防护服、护目镜、乳胶手套等共4556箱。3月18日，浙江再次运送应急物资，目前累计已有35.4吨的医疗防护物资发往意大利。

浙江与日本、韩国是一衣带水的近邻，多年来，与两国特别是国际友好城市的往来密切，合作良好。3月12日，满载着浙江人民心意的口罩、防护服、护目镜等医疗防疫物资在义乌机场“集结”完毕，发往日本和韩国。

3月11日，英国爱丁堡皇家医院的尤尔根·哈斯教授听说浙大一院在治疗新冠肺炎方面实践总结出了一套行之有效的浙一经验，便通过朋友远程联系上浙大一院的专家，请求远程会诊，给予专业指导。

3月13日，一场跨洋视频研讨交流链接了浙江杭州、湖北武汉和爱尔兰、英国四地。外方30多位专家和医生听取了浙大二院新馆肺炎疫情防控的中国方案、浙江创举和浙二经验的介绍。

截至3月21日15时，向全球发布的《新冠肺炎防治手册——浙江大学医学院附属第一医院临床经验》的访问量达147.8万，传播到了219个国家和地区。该手册还登上世界顶级学术期刊NATURE网站首页，让全世界学术界分享来自中国杭州浙大医院的“中国经验”。
