Over the five days, since the Chinese anti-epidemic medical team organized by Zhejiang province arrived in Italy, it has visited overseas Chinese, local Chinese enterprises and local hospitals to provide rescue and protection experience accumulated in the frontline in our province.

What concerns the expert team the most is the 50,000 overseas Chinese and 20 overseas Chinese groups in Milan. "Since the outbreak of the epidemic in Italy, the local Chinese groups have organized self-rescue among the local overseas Chinese, closed their stores and strictly enforced home quarantine. At present, the overall infection rate among the local Chinese is not high." Chen Zhengfang, a temporary party branch secretary of the expert team and director of the Cooperation and Exchange Department of the Provincial Health Committee, told the reporter.

In order to ease the anxiety of the local overseas Chinese, the expert team shared their scientific and effective protection knowledge with them. Ling Feng, a member of the expert team and deputy director of the Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Institute of the provincial CDC, eased the anxiety among the local Chinese with professional guidance. Wang Xiaoyan, a member of the expert team and deputy director of the Nursing Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of the Medical College of Zhejiang University, patiently reminded the overseas Chinese that "The First Affiliated Hospital has launched an online hospital. If you encounter difficulties, you can always count on the medical staff at home."

In addition, the expert team also shared the experience of orderly resumption of work in our province. After arriving in Milan, the expert team visited LASK, a local Chinese enterprise. To their relief, all the workers wore masks and the factory was disinfected every day. In view of the insufficiency of the enterprise's current protective measures, Ling Feng put forward some suggestions. After a brief exchange, the expert team donated 200 protective masks, 5 bottles of effervescent tablets and 1 disinfectant spray bottle to the enterprise.

The epidemic situation knows no boundaries. The expert team visited the frontline of the local hospital and had exchanges with the local medical staff on the experience of treatment in Zhejiang.

In addition to the visits and investigation, the expert team should sort out the large number of materials they had carried to Italy. It is reported that the materials include invasive ventilators, non-invasive ventilators, monitors, protective clothing, masks, and medicines. Thanks to the expert team, the consulate and overseas Chinese, it just took two days to finish the unloading of the 9.7-ton, 90-cubic-meter materials from the plane, their customs clearance and delivery to the hotel. Most of these materials will be donated to designated hospitals for COVID-19 treatment.
