After a 12-hour flight, the 12-member team of China’s anti-epidemic medical experts dispatched by the state and organized by Zhejiang province arrived at Malpensa Airport in Milan, Italy, at 16: 30 local time (23: 30 Beijing time on March 18) together with and a large number of anti-epidemic materials.

It was fine in Italy. When the expert group got off the plane, it was warmly welcomed by Italian representatives including Sala, vice-chairman of the Lombardy district government. He said excitedly: "The help from China is very important. China has donated a lot of much-needed life-saving materials to us. Thank you very much!"

In an interview with the local media, Professor Qiu Yunqing, head of the medical expert group and executive vice president of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University, said that the expert group would share the experience with local hospitals and experts on epidemic prevention and control, provide them with prevention and treatment guidance and consultation, and provide medical and health guidance and assistance to local Chinese embassies and consulates, personnel of local Chinese enterprises, overseas Chinese students and other overseas Chinese in Italy.

意大利当地天气晴朗，专家组一下飞机，就受到了意大利伦巴第大区政府副主席萨拉等意方代表的热烈欢迎，萨拉激动地说：“中国给我们的帮助非常重要，中国捐赠的是我们非常急需的物资，能够救很多人的命，再次感谢你们，谢谢！”

在接受当地媒体采访时，医疗专家组组长、浙大一院常务副院长裘云庆教授表示，专家组将与当地医院和专家进行疫情防控的分享和交流，为他们提供防控和诊疗指导与咨询，还要对当地我国使领馆、中资企业人员、留学生和华人华侨开展医疗卫生指导和帮助。
