Puyuan Fashion Week 2024 commenced in Tongxiang, Zhejiang province, on April 24. This year's fashion week continues to champion the core concept of "Knitwear as Fashion" with the theme "Weaving a Smart Future". The event aims to enhance the synergy between leisure cultural tourism and the indigenous fashion industry right from the runway.

A noteworthy departure from previous years, the 2024 Puyuan Fashion Week opened with two distinct segments. The first is a VIP trunk show by renowned designer Vera Wang, followed by an opening showcase from THE ATELIER, directed by the celebrated designer Jimmy Choo.

The Puyuan Fashion Week found a novel venue in 2023 as it moved to the ancient town of Puyuan in Tongxiang, a place that welcomed visitors for the first time that year. Situated in a region with a rich heritage in silk and knitwear, the event has successfully bridged Puyuan, a major woolen town, with the international fashion scene. By centering around modern runway shows within the millennia-old town and integrating with the local cultural tourism IP, the fashion week has crafted a novel fusion of fashion and cultural tourism.
