Jiaxing's Duanwu Folk Culture Festival to kick off

Jiaxing's annual Duanwu Folk Culture Festival, a much-anticipated event by locals, is set to unveil its splendor in the city recognized as China's first research base for Duanwu Culture.

Themed "Jiaxing Dragon Boat Festival: The Taste of China", the festival will showcase the rich cultural heritage of Jiaxing through a series of activities.

This year's Duanwu Folk Culture Festival will commence with an opening ceremony on June 2 at the Zicheng Ruins Park. The core events of the festival are scheduled from June 1 to 10, encapsulating the spirit of the Dragon Boat Festival with the main series of activities: the opening ceremony, dragon boat races, folk experiences, the Duanyang market fair, and ancient town performances.
