February 5 is the Chinese Lantern Festival, and the Hangzhou 2023 "Welcome to the Asian Games and Celebrate the Lantern Festival" fireworks and light show was held along the Qiantang River.

The theme of this fireworks show is "Welcome to the Asian Games and the New Year, and deliver New Year blessings". The fireworks show lasts about 30 minutes, including five chapters, the prelude "I love Hangzhou, welcome the Asian Games", the first chapter "Flowers Bloom in Hangzhou in Spring", the second chapter "Happy Hangzhou with Green Development", and the third chapter. The chapter is "Enduring Hangzhou, a paradise of vitality" and the ending "Bless the motherland to glory".
