Wan'an compass is an important instrument widely used in astronomy, geography, military, navigation, and divination, as well as the location of houses and tombs.
Wan'an compass is named after the Wan'an old street in Wan'an Town, Xiuning County, Anhui Province. The production technology of the Wan'an compass was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage protection project in 2006. Wu Zhaoguang is the representative inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage of the Wan'an compass and the representative inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage of Wu Luheng sundial at the provincial level. As the eighth generation leader of the century-old shop "Wuluheng Luojing Old Shop", Wu Zhaoguang is committed to promoting Luojing culture to the public while inheriting and developing the ancestral skills.
