From April 8 to 11, the cartoon series Hu Pomelo was touted by overseas media on MIPTV, France. “In just a few days, TV stations and film companies from countries including Lebanon, Qatar and Belarus come to us for cooperation,” said Liu Feng, producer of this animation. The animated character Hu Pomelo draws inspiration from Changshan pomelo and is expected to be showcased worldwide.
This year’s MIPTV attracted 3,400 companies from more than 100 countries and regions in the world. Hu Pomelo was part of the cultural element of Zhejiang presented on this feast.
Hu Pomelo has 6 episodes so far. “It is the first cartoon character taking a special local product of Zhejiang Province as a prototype,” said authorities of Publicity Department of Changshan County Party Committee.
Changshan will take Hu Pomelo as a new method of city promotion to improve its cultural brand, develop the local pomelo industry, and inject new drivers into rural revitalization.
